Categories of International Vaulting Events

  CVI 2*   CVI 1* 
Participation  No restriction on the number of NFs  No restriction on the number of NFs
Vaulters living abroad may compete at CVI 1* events for the host country at events held in the host country. 
Horse Passports  FEI Passport (see also GR Art 139).
CVI2* outside Europe:
FEI passport not required if competing in their home country - these horses must be registered with their NF, be identifiable by diagram and have a valid vaccination certificate 
FEI passport not required if competing in their country of residence, these horses must be registered with their NF, be identifiable by diagram and have a valid vaccination certificate. 
Stable Security  Minimum FEI stable security requirements to be met.
Reduced stable security applies in countries outside of Western Europe (Vaulting Regulations, Appendix O).

Officials  Judges:

Competitions / Technical  Male and Female Individual vaulters to be classified separately.
No categorisation of levels allowed. Team and Individual Competition compulsory.

Male and Female Individual vaulters may be classified in a joint competition.
Categories (maximum 2) are allowed.

Calendar  Application to be sent to FEI by 1 Oct. the year preceding the event – GR Art 117.  Subject to initial registration fee. Calendar dates may be added at any time without additional charge. 
Draft Schedule approval  To be sent to FEI for approval 16 weeks before the event takes place. Definite schedule to be sent to the FEI 4 weeks before the event.  To be approved by NF.
Definite schedule to be sent to the FEI 4 weeks before the event. 
Programme & Results  Master list of participants, programme and results to be sent to the FEI immediately following the event.  Master list of participants, programme and results to be sent to the FEI immediately following the event.
